Cask at The Harp, Covent Garden. A clear amber colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, orange, pine, some grapefruit, slight red berries and subtle earthy hops. Taste of orange, grapefruit, some resin, slight toasted malts, a little caramel and subtle earthy, floral hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A bittersweet, malty, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. A decent hoppy pale ale. Resinous and earthy. A little bit boozy but nice.

Cask at the brewpub. 5.2%. Clear mid amber coloured pour with a lasting loose sticky off white head. Aroma is caramel biscuity grains, nice resinous piney hop, little strawberry fruit on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of light caramel, grains, light sticky resinous hop, some hop candy. Ferment is nice a clean. Palate is semi sweet, little sticky on the tongue and a medium dry finish. Hop buttresses is mellow but firm and plays well against the little sweetness from the malt. Well made flavoursome beer.
