Cask at the brewpub, dark brown with a lacing head and a fruity nose, remarkably bitter for such a sweetish beer. Interesting but not well balanced.

Aroma: floral hops, juicy tropical fruits, grain and cereal malts. Appearance: clear amber, small, white, creamy head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: initial sweets get pushed back by hoppy bitters, yet remains very pleasant, soft carbonation. Overall: great APA, fantastic palate. Pint at The brewery, Highgate.

Cask @ brewery. Pours a very dark amber-orange with a small, large-bubbled head. Aroma is mixed fruits, caramel, toffee. Taste is a lot of caramel. Very dry. Finishes with general hoppiness, grapefruit, citrus, pine. Light, no carbonation, not watery. Goes well with the juniper-cured salted beef salad.

Gravity @ Wandsworth Common BF 2013. The pour’s amber with a small head. The aroma’s nicely rounded. Plenty of berry compote tang. Herbal sweet hops. Juniper, spices. Light toffee and bread. The taste is lemon curd, a bit of toast. Some nutty bear claw donut. A not unsubstantial malty body with nice herbal accents. Somewhat bitter on the finish. Fine carbonation, drinking on good form. Overall, pretty great actually. One of the best of the festival.
