Cask @ brewery. Pours a very dark amber-orange with a small, large-bubbled head. Aroma is mixed fruits, caramel, toffee. Taste is a lot of caramel. Very dry. Finishes with general hoppiness, grapefruit, citrus, pine. Light, no carbonation, not watery. Goes well with the juniper-cured salted beef salad.

Gravity @ Wandsworth Common BF 2013. The pour’s amber with a small head. The aroma’s nicely rounded. Plenty of berry compote tang. Herbal sweet hops. Juniper, spices. Light toffee and bread. The taste is lemon curd, a bit of toast. Some nutty bear claw donut. A not unsubstantial malty body with nice herbal accents. Somewhat bitter on the finish. Fine carbonation, drinking on good form. Overall, pretty great actually. One of the best of the festival.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2013 Cask at The Bull - London. Pours clear, rich gold with a fine, creamy head. Lots of raw, perfumey hops in the nose, some toasted pine and grass, lightly toasted malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate bitterness, more perfumey and floral hops, mellow pine, some orange, slight minerals. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild bitterness to finish, light juiciness to the hops, pine, flowers, perfume. Pretty average stuff.

Cask at the Bull Brewpub, London on 13th May 2013. Deep copper with thin off-white foam. Rich maltiness and grassy aromas. Bitter, grassy hops with citrus and herbiness in-mouth, followed by a dryish grassy, yet spicy end. Zingy mouthfeel.

On gravity at the London Drinker beer festival 6/3/2013. Copper coloured with a decent, off-white head. Crispy, grainy malts, some tart hedgerow fruit, orange peel and a pleasantly hoppy finish. Very good.

Handpull at The White Horse on Parsons Green. Clear, deep, bright burnt copper, small frothy beige head. Smells and tastes like a mild cask version of fresh Troegs Nugget Nectar - citrus zest, resin, juicy, quite bitter and "red.". Average body and cask carbonation, a little astringent - really really good!!!!
