Half a pint from tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of slighlty roasted malt with caramel and hops. Sweet, malty and creamy with a nice bitterness. Finishes slightly dry with a nice bitterness. Roasted and bitter aftertaste. Taste and refreshing. Nice with some bitterness after lots of SEA pale lagers. (2012-05-15)

Muddy brown/red color. Somewhat transparent between the visible particles in the beer. A thin head stays for only a couple of minutes. Zero lacing. Low carbonation. Smells of biscuity malts, some grass and a faintly note of caramel. Taste is nutty and salty/astringent. A herbal tone of tea. Aftertaste is biscuity and with tons of sour salmiak and salt. Mouth-feel is thin and watery. Low carbonation. I hope there was something wrong with my pour. Will try to make another review. ABV must be about 4 - 4,5. Serving type: on-tap

on draught at the brew-pub. Amber cloudy colour. Bitter aftertaste. A decent bitter. Nice to have after so much bland lager here

Madsnp (896) - DENMARK - FEB 16, 2010
Draught at the pub. Pours slight hazy amber coloured with a nice small off white head. Aromas of lightly roasted malt, some coffee, nuts and caramel. Nutty flavour with notes of caramel and roasted malt. After fourteen days with Chang Draught and Leo this beer is really tasty treat to find in a very air-conditioned basement in the middle of busy Bangkok.

Chestnut colour, slightly cloudy. Decent but short-lived creamy head; slightly fizzy, but not offputting. Served cold, ok this is Bangkok but the place is air-conditioned.... Light, nondescript aroma, balanced initial taste soon becomes rather bitter. Like the Londoner itself, it’s perfect for ex-pats: it’ll remind you how average beer can be, so you don’t get homesick.

Copper brown color, big creamy off-white head. Faint flowery hoppy nose. Soft flowery hoppy and slighlty toffeeish flavor. Very English-like - for being a beer from Thailand.

Truly one of the worst efforts at a biter I have ever tried. How it can be named a ’cream’ is beyond me. It has more in commomn with a German Dunkel than an English bitter (no surprise as the brewer is German). After one pint, I was so full of gas I couldn’t face another one. Stick to the Pilsner (and this is from a real ale lover!).

Jokes (1453) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2005
Dark caramel with a hint of rusted red beneath a full layer of white foam. The aroma was fairly pleasing with some light fruit, caramel, cereals, mild, floral hops and a touch of wheat. The body isn’t too anything to write home about, mostly too thin. The flavors are fairly respectable, but I seemed to enjoy them more than I normally would. After two weeks of nothing but bland, boring lagers, it was nice to have an actual ale. Fairly malty flavors with a bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Again, nothing spectacular, but still drinkable.

TimE (2068) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 10, 2005
Deep copper color with some floral, toffee and coffee notes in the nose. The mouth is fairly malty with toffee and coffee and finishes with very low bitterness. Kind of a boring bitter, but whatever, kicks the crap out of commerically available beers.

Bright golden-chestnut w/thin head. Metallic, caramelly aroma with hints of brown sugar. Sweet brown sugar w/ mangoes, melon and a hint of liquorice flavour. Sweet finish with a hint of acidity.
