Va BF 07 Draft. Was told this was the "Jimmy Buffett Beer" It was served to replace the Labatt’s Blue keg that had run out. Slight caramel aroma. Dark gold pour with no head. Tastes of roasted malts and hops, in good balance. Good honey finish. Pretty good.

Tried this at the Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville in the Flamingo Casino in Vegas. Poured clear dark brown with an average white head. Too much carbonation IMO. Malt flavouring was the only taste to come through.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2008 The aroma has lots of caramel and a light hopping. The appearance is reddish tan with a thin head. The flavor is very heavy caramel and with light hops and toasted malt. The palate is thin with a nutty, sweet finish. Overall it’s very simple but good.

Brewed exclusively for Jimmy Buffet’s chain of "Margaritaville" restaurants by the makers of Bud. This is an amber ale for the masses-- served ice-cold, dark brown and heavily carbonated, you wonder whether they have brought you a pint of coca-cola by mistake. Very little aroma. Very little flavour as well, faintly caramel, with a dry finish. Overly carbonated. One was enough.
