COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
More of a brown Porter than a robust version. medium brown in color with ruby highlights. Mild roastiness and a nice chocolaty quality balance out the malt character. The Chinook and Northern Brewer hops contribute low-medium bitterness leaving the malt emphasis on this truly English classic.

Dark brown pour, creamy beige head. Very roasty aroma, some hop essence and bitter coffee notes. Flavor is dry, roasty, a hint of bitter chocolate and the coffee and hops finish it nicely.

Taster at the brewpub. More on the roasti coffee side of the porter equation. Slight sweetness with a creamy texture. Nice again here with this drink but not overly exceptional or anything to drive out of the way for.
