COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Imperial India Pale Ale uses Golden Promise malt and two very pungent whole cone American hops. This brew is hopped so heavily that post-boil, after all of the wort has been transferred to the fermenter, the hop mass at the bottom of the kettle is more than one foot deep. Post-fermentation, Jabberwocky is dry hopped with colossal amounts of the same two hops. The beer is named after a monster we all hold dear.

Hop heaven! Golden copper colored, lovely lacing. Lots of tropical fruit in the aroma and taste. Pineapple is definitely present. On tap at Hay Merchant.

Hazy amber pour. Small off white head. Little bit of lacing. I get some caramel in the nose that doesn’t seem like it is wanted. Some hops, not much. Taste is sweet, overly. Not much hop taste. Decent.

Pours a hazy bright yellow-gold color with white head. Citrus, floral notes, just a bit of pine, and some sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with piney sprucey hop resin that lets you know it’s a DIPA.

pours hazy golden with medium tan head on tap. Aroma of pine, citrus, and dry hoppiness. Flavor of a dry IPA but with a smooth citrus finish. Very smooth beer and not overpowering.

On tap at the Hay Merchant. An unclear, reddish golden beer with a white to off-white head. The aroma is piney and citrusy, with some sweetish pale malts. It’s full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Sweet, fruity flavor with a bit too less bitterness I think. Pine cones and resins, leading to a lasting bitter finish. A too malt focused DIPA, but it’s nice anyway. Can’t see myself ordering it again, but you shouldn’t hesitate doing so. 140515
