COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Initially Pioneer I: Yellow Rose, later on became a regular.

A SMaSH, Single Malt and Single Hop, IPA using a caboodle (technical term for a large amount of malt) of malt and a new hop released in 2012 called Mosaic (HBC 369). It is a daughter of Simcoe (YCR 14), one of our favorite hops. Whole cone Mosaic is used for bittering, flavoring, and aroma in the kettle; it is also massively dry hopped. The beer is named after a Texas Heroine.

Tasting notes: chalk-white head with a very clean malt backbone. The hops impart strong grapefruit, pineapple, and blueberry flavor and aroma. A strong beer that is extremely quaffable.

Poured a golden cloudy color from the bottle, thanks DJ you’re the man! Aromas of dank pineapple and grapefruit with some great smelling hops. Flavors are all hops, grapefruit and light pineapple not overly bitter but just enough. God damn is this good.

Growler. Pours a clear orange with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong mosaic hop and grapefruit. Medium mouth with strong mosaic and pineapple, juicy, light bitterness, really enjoyed this one.

Aroma is lemon zest, cane sugar and grass with a chalky quality to it. Absolutely stunning pure white head on top of an orange/crimson colored beer. Looks fantastic. Taste is hoppy with some sweetness in the background. The hops really stay with you in the aftertaste and all the way until the next sip. The lemon and other citrus flavors come out after you drink this one awhile and I am even getting some of the blueberry described in the tasting notes. Unique IPA, definitely worth trying if you can find it.

Bottle with thanks to Cloaker. Pours cloudy amber, medium off-white head that dissipates slowly and laces well. Aroma is a bit dank, pot and damp forest floor, some spruce, citrus, a bit of bready malt. Flavor follows, light sweet and light plus bitter, dank with some lingering bitterness. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty tasty.
