Purchased at the flagship Whole Foods in Austin, TX; enjoyed while watching tv after a great sunny day and eating 7 tacos. It's better than PBR, and that's a good thing. It's very similar, but a bit more flavorful. True Detective product placement enabled my decision to purchase this.

Can’t believe i haven’t rated this yet. Simultaneously tastes like like shit and is completely tasteless. Great beer?

A good summertime brew that is economically priced. Certainly not for the beer snobs, but it will get the job done if you just want a cold one on a hot day.

Honestly tried this cause it’s feature in the HBO series " True Detective". Bright clear yellow with a white head. Faint corn malt aroma. Clean with slight sweet taste. Plain finish. A nothing negative other than it being pretty plain. Easy drinking beer on hot summer day looking for a buzz. It is what it is.

Smells and taste like big light. Maybe like big light fucked a pbr and lived in a dirty charcoal grill. One of my faves.

Golden, fizzy, mostly clear, small head. Standard malts, bit toasty perhaps bit you have to use your imagination. Medium bitter, bit creamy perhaps. I’m grasping here, it’s a straightforward mass produced lager. And not particularly good in that respect. (On tap at a bar in Houston airport)

pours a clear yellow color with a small white head that dissipates quickly. the aroma is wet grass, corn and the taste is similar. not a bad beer by any means.

Thin yellow pour, no head. Nose is grains. Sweetish. Middle is watery grain mix. Finish hints at a hop...I did say hop (singular). Lawnmower beer.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. A- Grains, water, corn, cereal. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Corn, grains, water. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- One of those beers you just have to drink if you’re in Texas even if you know it’s not going to be good before you take the first sip. Could be a lot worse, but it’s just your average lager.

Sunwretched pale body, faltering white head. Icey pish pineapple nose. Oddly sour wretched initial taste, gloopy carbonation and a tinny finish.
Lone Star really is PURE. TEXAN. PISH.

Bottle, November in December Tasting.
