Lone Star Beer uses the finest hops from the Pacific Northwest with hearty grains from the Central and Northern Plains. Malted barley and corn extract combine to provide Lone Star with nature’s finest ingredients for brewing. Lone Star’s ingredients give this beer its full natural flavor. The choicest hops lend complexity and aroma to this beer, and its proprietary mashing regimen creates the perfect balance of alcohol, body, and character.

Well, it doesn't bad - of course, it doesn't taste good, either. Just this side of seltzer water in flavor. Not much to look forward to.

Ahhh...it's been a long time since I had a beer I've anticipated as little as this. I can only hope the wait was worth it! Brew starts out a light golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is watery with a light skunk note to it. Flavor...is non-existant. Waste of time...

This beer is what it is, a Texas hot afternoon cotton mouth reliever. Don't expect any complexity, depth, or for that matter. much taste from this over-hyped, just above major macro beer. Just had to try it one more time while in Texas.

Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with a light note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately bitter, husky. Light body, watery texture, FIZZY carbonation, slightly metallic. Grain husks, cooked corn, and apple cider in the aroma...oh, what a combination! Unbalanced, husky, ultra-fizzy, and metallic in your mouth too? Sign me up!

Yuck, yuck, yuck. This is just bad, fizzy foamy water. This beer is more carbonated than most sodas and while it looks harmless in the bottle, it's very hard to drink. I'm not sure if the absence of any real taste is a bad thing or a virtue with this particular beer!Horrid....

Cheaper to drink water than Lone Star. Just another boring and over rated beer.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2003 How come this was just chilling in some small Newcastle Bottle-O? Anyway, got a bottle and was expecting the worst, but it was not too bad. Nutty sort of meat flavour hidden under a flat lemonade foundation. You googly woobly archi naughs?

When I bought this at the local beer emporium, Beers of the World, I thought it was a micro out of Texas. Imagine my disappointment when I got home and found out it was made by Pabst! Swill look and smell. Pretty watery in taste, but inoffensive.

Smells of burnt corn and even more burned rice. No malt aroma to speak of. Not much in the way of hops, either. Pretty much, a bland, boring beer. Pours out the typical American standard yellow, pale and transparent also. Thin body, not much balance in this beer. I've had better beers by far. Aromas of fruit in it for some reason, like rotten bananas, and maybe stale figs. Weird for a macro swill. I won't be going out of my way to buy this beer again, that's for sure. Good thing I only bought one to try, huh?

It's so rare to see a beer for $2. It's even more rare to see a good beer for $2.
