COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lone Star Beer uses the finest hops from the Pacific Northwest with hearty grains from the Central and Northern Plains. Malted barley and corn extract combine to provide Lone Star with nature’s finest ingredients for brewing. Lone Star’s ingredients give this beer its full natural flavor. The choicest hops lend complexity and aroma to this beer, and its proprietary mashing regimen creates the perfect balance of alcohol, body, and character.

Hmmm. Beer for the Shrub to drink while he watches the world plunge into chaos. Better by far than Bud; not as good as, say, Dixie. Gains a few scant points for being an old regional brand, which still doesn’t help much.

Bready, dry, bland, and hopless. Not much else to say.

Light straw color, giant faky bubbles, ok fast-dying head. Nose slightly hoppy, corn, not unpleasant or skunky but typical for cheap beer. Flavor just very very bland, with almost nothing on the end. Ok body. Actually not as bad as I expected; Texans your state beer is better than Wisconsin’s (Miller) or Illinois’ (Old Style), at least!

Not too much to this one. Okay for an American Standard I guess.

This is generic beer for wanna-be cowboys. Pointless.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2005 I’d never tried Lone Star before, and I’m a big fan of American standards, so I was delighted when I found some at the local mega liquor store. And I really wanted to like this beer, but I must say I’m a tad disappointed. On the sweet side and refreshing when ice cold, but very bland.

I would take it over several busch products. Don’t mess with Texas!

Meh, lone star doesn’t sound like a name of a good beer anyways!

Less-rounded, more watery now under Pabst than under Pearl’s stewardship of this brand....a very ordinary macrobrew...
