Lone Star Beer uses the finest hops from the Pacific Northwest with hearty grains from the Central and Northern Plains. Malted barley and corn extract combine to provide Lone Star with natureís finest ingredients for brewing. Lone Starís ingredients give this beer its full natural flavor. The choicest hops lend complexity and aroma to this beer, and its proprietary mashing regimen creates the perfect balance of alcohol, body, and character.

Per5haps they brew it stonger in Canada (Mine was 5.2%). So its aslightly better than most American beers... But its also very similar to water.

Better than Blue Ribbon I suppose. Havenít drank this in a while, but I recall the easiness to drink it at a Texas BBQ. And also ícause they didnít have anything else!

Goes down smooth and matches up well with a burger off of the grill.

The first thing I learned in college was how to fill a cup with Lone Star without loosing any beer! Standard by the keg for the outfits at A&M!

Went down super easy, but then again, so does water. George W. and all of his bumbuddies can keep it.....(no offence to any other Texans tho, you got a great state and awesome whitetailed deer!!). Peace

I donít know how I over looked this beer? thought I had rated it? Well, pours a clear gold, fair head and lace, nose weak malt, start malt sweet, middle thin, the finish moderately carbonated, some hops, altogether quite bland.

It is best to serve your armadillo piss with enough bbqíd ribs, jalapenos, and tabasco sauce to destroy any inclination you may have to critique the drink. ....prost....(I think).

The commercial description says, íA beer so good they named a state after it.í If this is the case, I feel bad for Texas.

Look, they make Iron City in Texas!!!!! Nothing great here, cheap, the Schaeffer of itís own terrority. Not worth trying to make your list, but if you gotta, have it with some chili or something that will kill the taste. Water is cheaper, and often more flavorful.
