12 oz bottle from Soonah. Pours a clear straw with a quick diminishing white head. The bottle recommends serving "Texas Cold" - I don’t know what temperature that is, but mine is about 48° F. I can’t imagine it gets a whole lot colder than that in Texas. Anyway, corny nose, mildly astringent, grainy with a bit of grass. Bland sweet corn and grass flavor, pretty much like hundreds of other mass produced fizzy yellows out there. Inoffensive at best. The label also advises against messing with Texas, and if this is the "national beer of Texas" then I advise drinkers of decent beer heed the warning.

Actually not bad. But cold beer on a hot day usually works great anyway. Not very bitter and kinda watery sweet. Very carbonated. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Weak sour aroma of malts. Light taste with no particular notes or presence but still not terrible. Standard american big brand beer. At least it is refreshing.

12 oz from the bottle at the Swing Station. Fairly bland aroma and flavor with hints of husky grains, corn and pale malts. Not completely awful.

Originally rated on 2/6/08- Very pale yellow, rapidly disappering head, smells kinda funky. Not a very good brew especially one that is supposed to represent my state. I am kind of ashamed it says national beer of Texas on the can. I dont know of anyone who buys it around here, probably those dirty hipsters

Pours like a normal lager. Aroma is that of a normal lager too. Surprised to say... tastes like a lager

Bottle, thanks Roei, a little deep clear gold color, almost no aroma whatsoever, just muted malty traces, sweetish bready maltiness with a smooth light bitterness. Drinkable but really not interesting.

Can, gifted me by a generous soul... in my dining room... just now.
Pours a pale golden with perfect clarity and a quick to rise steady to fall head that leaves very little lacing on the glass.

The aroma is very much like corn and rice... there is some alcohol, some mild maltiness.... a little bit of leafy hops... generally not one of the more inviting pale lagers aromatically at least, but it’s not horribly offensive either.

The flavor is decently clean, it’s got some corn... and even some corn flakes. The beer tends towards the sweeter side of this category but does a fine enough job of providing a little zippy hoppiness and a brisk bitterness for a touch of balance. The beer has some fruity notes... maybe even a touch of apple. I think the higher than average bitterness per style is what makes this one charming, and it is charming.

Taste like a combination of expired milk, wet naps, and over grown celery stalk.

Beer with my BBQ. Pale yellow. Corn and grain aroma. Taste is lightly sweet. Thin body and medium high carb. Basically PBR.
