12 oz bottle from Soonah. Pours a clear straw with a quick diminishing white head. The bottle recommends serving "Texas Cold" - I donít know what temperature that is, but mine is about 48į F. I canít imagine it gets a whole lot colder than that in Texas. Anyway, corny nose, mildly astringent, grainy with a bit of grass. Bland sweet corn and grass flavor, pretty much like hundreds of other mass produced fizzy yellows out there. Inoffensive at best. The label also advises against messing with Texas, and if this is the "national beer of Texas" then I advise drinkers of decent beer heed the warning.

Longneck no pour.
Corny, sometimes a bit stale, boozy aroma. I'll take this in a pinch to any other domestic. At least I know what I'm going to get. I like to drink this while playing concerts because it tastes fine and does what it needs to.

Pours flat and smells skunky. Flavor is very typical of a cheap domestic. Definitely a 1st percentile beer.

Had this from a bottle in a saloon in Texas. Hey, it wasnít that bad. Itís a watery pilsner with not a lot of flavor. But, there wasnít anything offputting. It was fine.

"if youíre review starts "as long as itís (blank) itís not too bad"...itís BAD. if your beer needs to be near freezing to be drinkable, why are you bothering? this beer falls solidly into that category."

I couldnít believe how cheap this beer was the first time I bought it, then I tasted it. Not much here, though some lingering sweetness.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Has a strong grain and wheat smell
Appearance - A nice murky yellow color that had a small white head.
Taste - A grain driven brew, not bad, but I do remember it tasting better 25 years ago. I did notice it is made by a different brewer.
Palate- Light-bodied with light carbonation and a semi-dry finish
Overall - Not a bad AAL, I preferred the older version but not a bad beer to quaff down
