Bottled. Not really terrible, just the same standard megabrew. Corny taste, some malt. Slightly more complex than, say, a Coors, but otherwise just another cheap beer.

Itís just one of those beers that you drink in a bar because you havnít had it before. You know what itís going to taste like before you even lay eyes on it. A regular lager. Worth the try if you havnít had it but not much more than that.

Bottle at Craigís. Pours hazy gold with no head. Aromas are cardboard and cereal. Taste is malty and thin. Poor.

The color is a light golden with a small white head that fades quickly to a thin layer on top of the brew, and the aroma is reminiscent of corn and lager yeast. The taste makes me never want to go to Texas because, if this quite sour beer is pure Texas, Iím fine where I am. Furthermore, the palate combines a slick texture, soft carbonation, medium body, and a long sour finish, which doesnít save this brew whatsoever.

Keg (Texas Honkytonk, Tallinn)
Sweet corny aroma - spoilt, almost sour. Orange, large brief tight head. Fizzy palate. Cornflakes, flour and off-fruits in the retronasals. Unfermented, raw, stodgy corniness. Bad, heading towards Baaad. Yay, a whole pint of this horror. Could be the pipes, so Iím being charitable.

Tap. Pale golden color. Medium size, white head, diminishes to weird floating chunky bits very quickly. Malty, diacetyl, sweet aroma. Weak aroma. Just sweet malts and grains in taste. Cardboard in aftertaste.

Solid, go to pale lager. Always keep a 20 in the fridge. Don't look for anything extraordinary outta Lone Star, just great Texas beer.

Ha. Had to rank this. Crushed part of a six-pack (but only 6) of it before the Texas/Kansas game this past Saturday for a tailgate. Very light, watery. Not much flavor. Solid Texas beer.

Pours a clear gold, fair head and lace, nose weak malt, start malt sweet, middle thin, the finish moderately carbonated, some hops, altogether quite bland.
