On tap at Denver Bicycle Cafe. Clear nutty amber with a creamy foamy head almost like a nitro pour, but not quite. Creamy malty nose with a generous amount of caramel sweetness, mango/melon fruitiness, and a grassy and piney hop aroma behind it all. For an 8% brew it is actually exceptionally balanced and smooth, not too boozy, and even then its gentle on on the finish. Flavor is nutty and full of caramel malts, with some melon fruitiness quickly leading into some floral/grapefruit-rind/pine hoppiness, resuming a melon/caramel tone to a boozy finish with light but balancing bitterness. A wonderful balance between IPA and Amber Ale.
