| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2009 On draught at the High Country Beer Fest, this pours murky mahogany with an eggshell head. Malt and doughy nose. Sweet malt throughout, and hints at brown sugar in the mid-palate. This is contrasted in turn by a decently bitter back. Such a stark contrast makes for a slightly hollow mouthfeel. Smooth drinkability with a slick texture, it feels a little devoid of substance. A decent brown, just not quite up to the next level yet.
