Cask at rrbf. Pours dark brown with a small sudsy tan head. Nose shows lots of cocoa, relatively fresh espresso, light bitterness from the roasted malts. Flavor is medium sweet, lots of coffee cocoa. This batch had cocoa nibs added as well. Actually very nice, one of the better Lonerider beers I have sampled.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JCB (3859) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 20, 2011
On tap at Fullsteam, Durham. 100 degree weather with no AC? Fuck yes, let’s have a dark coffee brew. Nice oily pour, with mild sediment and a fairly sizable creamy head. Sticky lacing abounds. Nose is sweet chocolate malt and fairly standard coffee roasts. Body is a bit too thin and the palate a bit too waxy, but overall the deep dark choc and the roasts hit the spot fairly well.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ucusty (2692) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUL 19, 2011
Had this one @ Fullsteam earlier in the summer. Dark pour with a chestnut colored head. The coffee adds another dimension to the base beer but also thins the body out a little too. Overall I liked the aggressive coffee at times it was a bit astringent tho
