Pours dark and full bodied with a wispy light tan head. Nose shows day old cold pressed coffee and an acidic character. Very muddled aroma, hard to distinguish finer aromatics. Flavor is kind of the same, doesn’t have much structure. The pieces are there but they’re not coming together. Some day old coffee and chocolaty flavor with that weird thin feeling from coffee but the body from oats and lactose. Very disjointed.

Tap at SAMs. Murky medium brown with a small tan head. Nose of chocolate, light hazelnut, coffee beans, vanilla, and a light "goaty" thang. Similar flavor. Sorta thin for a stout. One of lonerider’a better offerings.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bought at Harrika’s Brew Haus in Cedar Point, NC. Pours dark with minimal head. Smells sweet with coffee and chocolate. The flavors really shine, and the beer is quite easy to drink.

Bottle thanks to Andy. Pours black with a thin brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice combination of dark chocolate and bitter coffee with a hint of underlying sweet dark gains and lactose. Flavor has some earthy coffee with a bit of bitter chocolate and a growing lactose note in the finish.

Black as night. Very coffee. Too coffee for me. It's like they used coffee grinds. Very little cocoa nibs.

bottle, from Triangle Wine. Good aroma, sweet, coffe, chocolate, milky scent I associate with oats. Dark orangy brown color, small head that quicly faded to a ring, little to no lace. sweet flavor. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, sweet roasted finish. pretty good, aroma, is nice, but not overwhelming coffee or chocolate. just a tad of a vineous scent. Flavor is big. mouthfeel is good. doesn’t quite grab my full attention as "I need to have alot of this" but enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours an extremely dark brown with very little head. Nose has some strong coffee notes with just a hint of chocolate underneath. Taste is great - like a beer-infused mocha, with the chocolate really shining through here and the coffee taking a back seat. Awesome...
