COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spur is the girl you take home to your parents. Pouring a beautiful red hue, this full bodied ale strikes a balance between lots of hop and caramel malts. Hopped with Centennial and Columbus, Spur is full of flavor and complexity.

Some folks might like this. We’re just not a big fan of the citrusy beers and this was quite hoppy.

Bottle from Sam’s Quik shop. Pours amber with a thin white head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Nice caramel notes on the nose along with some citrus hoppiness. Defineitley has a malty richness balanced by the citrus hops. Finishes clean. I liked it.

12 ounce bottle from Bruisin. Pours a slightly hazy red color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of spicy, herbal hops, nutty notes and a bit of toffee. The taste is caramel malts, citrus and herbal hops, toasted malts, nuts, raisin, sugared raisin. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.

Comes out of the tap a slightly hazy mahogany with a thick, fine-bubbled buff head that leaves generous lacing. Malty aroma has hoppy, woody and yeasty hints. Flavor is rather hoppy, almost like an IPA, woody with some malt and a bit of yeast. Texture is smooth and fairly tingly, leaving a woody-hop and malty finish. I hope this review will "spur" you to try one.

Clean rugby red pour with one finger of sandy tan head. Nose shows diacetyl and fruit skin and cooked peaches. Flavor shows alcohol upfront and some weird fruity notes. Strange beer

Pint at Brewery. Good aroma. Sweet. Malty. Minor hops. kind of bread dough. Nutty. Bit of citrus. Nice dark brownish orange color. Good head and lace. Medium body. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish that lingers. . Good red ale, what LR calls it, Has a bite on the finish. Enjoyable.
