COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shotgun Betty is a sexy, tough cowgirl who is always armed and dangerous. Don’t be fooled by her good looks, she will have you for an appetizer! That’s why we picked her to represent our Hefeweizen. Shotgun Betty is a wheat beer with a rich, banana-clove nose and refreshing dry finish. Sound good? Try one, But beware, once Betty gets a hold of you there is no escape.

Pour is cloudy with a creamy golden color. Not much head but a good amount of lace. Nose is bananas and some spices. Taste is much of the same. What sets this beer apart is its smooth mouth feel. It is really enjoyable to drink. When I first drank this beer years ago in my early craft beer snob life it changed my perception of what beer can be! This does the wheat beer style right!

Can shared during RBWG 2015 - Tampa. Pours lightly hazy gold with a fluffy white head. A simple hefeweizen this is, with basic wheat bread, cereal grains. Light bodied with average carbonation. More grainy wheat to finish, light dried banana. OK.

12oz can, tasted on RBWG bus. Best by 3/08/15. Hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Dots and bits of lace. Nice banana, german yeast, mild spice, mild breadiness. Moderate sweet taste, mild dry finish, light bitterness. Medium-plus body, nice full feel. Smooth, kind of creamy texture. Lighter carbonation, mild slick texture. Solid hefeweizen

Location: Draft at that Mexican place by Terminal C in CLT, 1/29/15, My 50th German Hefe tick!

Aroma: The nose of this one has sweet malts, lemon, spice/clove, and a little grain
Appearance: It pours a hazed orangish-yellow color with a small, lasting head
Flavor: The flavor is on the same line, sweet, with some spice, and a mild bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has an okay mouthfeel, and a decently clean finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was an alright one, but not a favorite. It comes off as fairly mediocre, but not bad. I would drink this again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. They could have done better.

Smells sweet with banana and mango. Taste strong banana and yeast with a slight citrus bite. Pours straw yellow with thin white head. Medium body with a sour linger on the pallet.
