COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shotgun Betty is a sexy, tough cowgirl who is always armed and dangerous. Don’t be fooled by her good looks, she will have you for an appetizer! That’s why we picked her to represent our Hefeweizen. Shotgun Betty is a wheat beer with a rich, banana-clove nose and refreshing dry finish. Sound good? Try one, But beware, once Betty gets a hold of you there is no escape.

Bottle. Poured a hazy medium yellow- orange with an average sized white creamy head that lasted quite a while and produced excellent lacing. The aroma was robust with yeast and had a mild strawlike malt scent with notes of banana, clove and some citrus. It tasted lightly sweet with hints of banana and some spice at first then became very yeasty with a nice citrus note at the end. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and very creamy in texture with a flat carbonation. Overall this is a good hefeweizen, very refreshing and quite pleasing to the palate.

Clear gold; good label. Muted pencil shavings/cidery aroma. Dry, crisp, a little corny/grainy, light body. OK. Thanks, LuckyDog.

Not the full citrus-type of hefeweizen I was hoping for, but its an ok brew. Getting the feeling they brewed this with a belgian style in mind. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught @ Sprig in ATL. This beer arrives in an awesome glass but let you down with a flat flavor.

Pours quickly disappearing head, pale golden color. Aroma of some yeast and banana, even some small notes of apple thus resembling cider. Taste is slightly sweet with very little bitterness.

Smells of banana and bread yeast. Pours cloudy orange. Carbonation pretty high. Not much head or lacing on pour. Taste slightly sour. Some spruce-like hops. Best part of this is the bottle. Drank at Charlotte airport.

Bottle - pour is a hazy orange yellow. Aroma is heavy yeast, wheat and spices. Flavor is LOTS of clove, some banana and yeast. I have lots of hefs, but this one kinda bored me. A lot of people love this here in NC but I wasn't blown away. -optemoz

Off the taps in a proper glass helps a lot. Got a decent white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, light banana and fair amount of clove . Palate was pretty good. Flavors of wheat, some banana and a hint of citrus with a nice finish. A little more bold than a Paulaner but quite tasty.
