4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2013 Aroma is a bit nutty, taste is nice, not hoppy which we don’t like. Not chocolate, even though it says so. It’s cheaper then Highlands Gaelic and at least a tie if not tastier. Oh and....higher alcohol content for that fun evening! Really, this is a fantastic beer at a great price. Go to beer for us! Update: This has become our favorite go-to beer. Stood the test of time for months now. Great taste at a great price. We’ve had many pricier beers that have left us looking for our Josie. She’s hard to beat.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at Broadway Brewhouse. The pour is a brown on the lighter side. Don't get much at all from the aroma. The taste is a standard brown. I don't get any chocolate from it.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A bit toasty, but not too sweet. I didn’t expect it to be that roasted. A bit like a maple bacon pretzel. A bit of a weird after taste like a hot dog to me. Looks like a pepsi

Poured from a bottle it is a dark brown with a slight head. The aroma is malty and has a hint of pecans. The taste is of a strong root beer and it resonates on the palate. Mighty tadty

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. can. It pours a pretty dark brown color with some dark orange at the edges and a disappearing khaki head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with some hints of bubblegum and mild notes of root beer. The flavor is more toasty with some nuttiness and pretty aggressive hop bitterness. Very simple and a little on the sweet side, but it does have a decent toasted, bitter finish.
