COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Preacher’s sharp blue eyes have seen too many sins. This Belgian-style Saison is created with an American twist. A spicy, fruity ale with a bright citrus hop kick.

Draught. Pours a rather hazy amber color with a moderate white head on it. Nose was a bit of a surprise to me - I found it light and sweet with some fruity elements to it, and none of the characteristics I would have expected from the saison. Taste was slightly sour and just seemed cloudy and muddled to me. Not a fan of this.

Pours a hazy amber-orange color with a average off-white head. The aroma is lightly funky and quite fruity; it suggests a tart beverage. The flavor lightly tart. It also is more funky and spicy than fruity; too funky for me. Alcohol is well-hidden. Mouthfeel: medium body and carbonation.

Hickory Hops 2013 - This pours hazy golden straw into the glass with a diminishing wispy head. Fruity bouquet, with a cherry citrus flavor that finishes with licorice notes. Medium body with an active palate goes down very well. Good integration. Great farmhouse offering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sikash (240) - North Carolina, USA - APR 12, 2013
Pours a hazy brown orange color with and off-white foamy head that is almost silky. Aroma is medium with pepper and fruit/banana notes maybe some orange. Flavor is more spicy than fruity but well balanced. Finish more pepper kind of astringent. Mouthfeel is full and carbonation is average. Overall this is a delicious beverage but not quite a saison i think.

Sample brought by the rep. Cloudy amber pour with a generous frothy off white head. Peppery and light fruity notes. Soft aroma, very very light citrus and some bread dough. Very peppery and dry with a light herbal touch. Very ’Dupont-ish’. Very very dry/peppery with a lean body. Very well done/too style.

On tap at Geer Street Garden, Durham. Several pints of this over the course of the springtime, and found it to be one of LR’s better brews. If their house yeast strain annoys, you’ll think differently, as it’s all over the brew - and in fairness, it’s halfway to a biere de garde, given how consistently present those bready malts are. But there’s a sprightly spice component, some dry hops, and a dash of young fruits and flora that liven things up considerably. Pretty solid.

tap at tylers carrboro. Cloudy orange with a small white head. Spicy, sweet, way too many spices. Not a terrible effort, but a little on the sweet side for my tastes. Still, very happy to see this from Lonerider. A step in the right direction.

Draft. Hazy golden appearance, thin white head. Aroma was both spicy and fruity. Flavor was sweet and tart. Mild spice in the finish, more fruity and dry. Pretty good overall.

Pours golden orange honey with a nice off white head. The aroma gives sweet and potent saison yeast notes that are so pleasant on the palate. The flavor is the same with big sweet notes and some wheat field yeast thickness on a smooth body. The only thing lacking on the palate is the spiciness of the style, otherwise it is very good.
