3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
At Cheese Bar, Portland. It was listed as Long’s Fresh Hop IPA IV, so this may be a different beer? Perhaps a different combination of hops? At any rate, it was good, with a lot of hop character - grassy, stoney, with a crisp, toasty finish.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught at St. Paul Fresh Hop Fest. Referred to as Fresh Hop 6. Deep copper color. Caramel and tropical citrus aroma. Taste of citrus, passionfruit, caramel, and a note of malt to balance the bitterness. Pleasing citrus finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
draft. golden body, lightly hazed. striking hop pungency in the nose. dried citrus, minerals / gravel character,. highly bitter, a bit excessive, actually, leaving it out of balance a tad but it’s still nicely dry and crisp, grassy and a tad musty. washes the palate with buzzing acid and carbonation, and though the malt is a bit rough it’s a minor complaint. this is how i like IPA.
