COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full bodied amber ale is modeled after the "altbiers" of Dusseldorf, Germany. Our top fermenting yeast and cold finishing temperature result in a complex, yet clean, full flavor.

Dark Amber with little head. Wheat aroma with a little banana. Very carbonated. This is a decent beer for social drinking.

bottle. nutty wheat aroma and taste. high carbonation and a somewhat watery/thin body. decent flavors but the palate detracted. the double bag is much better.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2008 12oz bottle at Owls Head pub, in the Adirondacks. Pours darker than most lagers, but i would not call this a dark beer. Nose has slight berries which is present in the taste too. Tastes floral. Smooth beer and well balanced. I am very interested to see this is an Altbier

Pours a dark amber with a light bubbly white head. It doesn’t have a lot of aroma. I’m drinking this beer after an IPA so the taste might be a little off, but it tastes slightly bitter with some fruit around the edges.

This is my simple, "go-to" beer at fairly generic bar visits. Pours a dark copper with a thin white head. Has a bitter hop flavor with a slight, fruity aftertaste. Very light, crisp mouthfeel. Not a craftbrew by any means, but good stuff if you plan on drinking a dozen or so.

On tap at 99 in Groton CT. Did not specify NO Frozen Mug. Once I broke through the ice it was like a clean copper penny with a strong malt presence up front and a gentle hops bitter. too cold to get a nose off of but very sweet maltyness.

Very dark appearance, crisp flavor. Not much in the way of head. Had on tap in Vermont.
