COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full bodied amber ale is modeled after the "altbiers" of Dusseldorf, Germany. Our top fermenting yeast and cold finishing temperature result in a complex, yet clean, full flavor.

On Tap: A rather blah beer, in my opinion. Nothing too special about it. When drinking, I couldn’t quite figure out what was there and what wasn’t - a bad sign.

pours a rich, earthy, amber, with slight to no head. Smells of cider and sweet malt. Tastes of slight roasted malt and bitter hops. Somewhat dull palate. Great beer, but not stand-out-ish.

Bottle. Huge gusher. Slightly aged, and largely apple juice by this point of the game [aroma]. Medium-strong carbonation in a coppery amber body, lacing, rocky, large white head. Taste is dry and largely effeminate, mild malt with sweetish fruit and a light yeasty undercurrent. Medium body yields to a very dry, slightly yeasty aftertaste. Sessionable and inoffensive.

Long Trail Ale is a pale caramel color with a thin, off-white, mostly diminishing head. It is very clear and sparkling. The aroma is simple and crisp. It is of fruity, wooden hops. It is light and soft on the tongue; smooth and clean all the way down. The flavor is straightforward with very much noble hop character. There is a good balance between the hop aroma and hop flavor here: nothing surprises. The aftertaste is short and crisp. Nice session beer!

This beer has a smooth and gentile taste. It pours a nice head with a good texture on the palate. I personally enjoy the after taste since it has a decent bite.

bottle 2007 - pours coppery in color with light carbonation. smells lightly of fruit mild on the nose. tastes malts with an acidic back of the tongue taste. I too remember this tasting better in the past.

This had a nice color, and overall, a well balanced flavor, perhaps favoring the malt a bit. Above average,
