COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full bodied amber ale is modeled after the "altbiers" of Dusseldorf, Germany. Our top fermenting yeast and cold finishing temperature result in a complex, yet clean, full flavor.

Not bad. Fruity aroma is followed by a very faintly fruity taste behind a rather flat graininess.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2007 On tap. Amber color with small white head that disapates quickly. Fruity and Hoppy aroma, with a bit of sweetness overlaying the finishing aroma. Initial taste of citrus hops that represented a bite more than expected. Sweet malts then outline the taste that fades away. Palate is decent. Good lacing of glass.

12 oz bottle . pours deep , brilliant copper , decent white head and lace . aroma is a little fruity and some hop. slightly sweet malt flavor that ends with a decent hop bite ,but a little metallic at the finish . medium bodied , easy drinking ,nice brew .

Only got few sips of this one. I wasn’t that impressed or enjoyed. I might have to have a whole one and re-rate.

These damn Northern blueblood yankees and their altbier. I guess thats why we keep them all in New England. Again, an overbearing fruityness wnd metalic aftertaste. This was once a pleasant brew, not sure whats going on here now.

Bottle. Light cherry and yeasty malt aroma. Medium amber color with small head. Slightly sweet yeasty malt flavor with a light hops finish. Nothing bad - would have rated higher as an amber ale but as an altbier it is very mediocre.

12 oz from variety pack. Amber color, white head that vanishes quickly. My first thought was that this is more watery than malty or hoppy. Never a good sign. Average American Ale. Nothing to write home about.

Amber color with light malty aroma. Malty taste that seemed a bit thin. So-so beer from these guys.
