COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full bodied amber ale is modeled after the "altbiers" of Dusseldorf, Germany. Our top fermenting yeast and cold finishing temperature result in a complex, yet clean, full flavor.

Pours a rich copper, minimal head though. Aroma is bready with a touch of floral hops. Taste wise again malty with a slight hoppy bitterness to cut through the sweetness, smooth. A nice ale for sure, though not a patch on Schumacher or Uerige.

Barley and light plastic aroma. Clear amber, thin head. Rich barley malt flavor with a grainy finish. Definitely beery, fair.

Drake (4803) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - NOV 15, 2010
Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear strawberry red color with a thin offwhite head. Decent head retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of faint toffeeish malts and bitter hops. The taste is rasins, though mild, toffee, toasted malts and bitter hops. Medium bodied. Decent beer.

Bottle. Fruity and slightly grainy aroma. Clear amber colour. Small frothy but stable white head. The flavour is fruity, slightly grainy. Not unpleasant, but not so interesting either.

A: snifter. pours a deep, slightly hazy, mostly red amber color. Nice off-white head, with a decent retention level and a nice amount of lacing. S: good crystal malt aromas, some caramel, some apples, as well as some off spices. T: very interesting flavors, I knew it was an Altbier, but didn’t expect it. Some bitters off the bat with some sweet caramel and apples. hint of spices. some metallic flavors. M: dry and smooth. mild carbonation. metallic flavors killed the palate a little bit. D: nice attempt at an Altbier. It is very drinkable, and I have enjoyed several of these before. good session beer.

caramel color with a thin, off-white, mostly diminishing head. The aroma is simple and crisp. It is of wooden hops. It is light and soft on the tongue; smooth and clean all the way down. The flavor is straightforward noble hop character. There is a good balance between the hop aroma and hop flavor here. a nice beer on tap, better then most American domestics.
