BeerEssential (96), Massachusetts, USA Jun 29, 2008 On first pour this is a fairly clean yellow beer, however there was a noticeable amount of sediment stuck to the bottom of the bottle which, once flushed out with a swirl of beer, created the typical cloudy witbeer look. Head starts off white and fluffy, but fades to nothing with no lacing. Aroma is is very lemony, like a cough-drop...quite artificial. Taste is very lemony-orange with a bit of a bitter finish. I give it the highest marks for palate, since this is a refreshing summertime brew, but I’ll stick with other, more traditional tasting Belgian Whites. willblake (2160), Belcamp, Maryland, USA Jun 26, 2008 20080626 12oz bottle - it was on the singles rack at RB Spirits. Glowing pale yellow color with small but lasting white head. Aroma is a big kick of lemon, tangerine, dish soap (no, not my dish soap), and tropical notes (coconut, papaya, cocoa butter). Unusual and interesting but also quite artificial in presentation. Flavor carries a good deal of the citrus and tropical notes, with a lingering perfumed finish (crazy with coriander). Not much eff, not at all bitter or dry, this is a sweetish, flavorful, refreshing, odd concoction that I will be glad to have finished. Oh well. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA Jun 25, 2008 light yellow cloudy pour lots of head very spicey aroma with orange coriander and banana. a little too much spice but would make a nice session beer yesyouam (587), Fairport, New York, USA Jun 23, 2008 Long Trail Belgian White is a cloudy light golden ale with a small white head that makes a brief appearance. The aroma is faint and tart with notes of lemon, bubble gum, coriander and mint. It is medium light bodied and smooth with a bubbly finish. The flavor is dominated by coriander. It is very spicy with notes of mint, perhaps wintergreen or spearmint. It is very bold-- a unique Witbier. I’d almost call this a Spiced Ale, rather than a Wit. HighlanderOne (538), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Jun 22, 2008 Updated: Jul 3, 2008Poured from bottle 6/2008. Odd aroma - like lemon fresh Joy for dishes. Looks like it should - cloudy gold with white head which vanishes. Comparison with Belgian ale ends there - this is lemony and watered down version of what it should be. I’m not tasting the spice in this. But I do taste the hand soap. A disappointment. acearl (207), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 12, 2008 Light yellow hue with pillowy white head, all I can say is soapy, I seems very evident that it was on purpose, wanted to like more but this combo was too much like Dove lemon soap. Vaguely refreshing as best. Not recommended. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 8, 2008 @ Uno’s-12oz bottle-pours a dissipating white head and verry hazy pale yellow color. Aroma is musty wheat, secondary spice, yeast. Taste is musty wheat, tart-lemon, secondary spice, yeast. A slightly spiced lawnmower beer. OK effervescence. rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA May 31, 2008 Coriander aroma. Cloudy yellow color with a medium white head that quickly dissipates. Light malt beginning with a coriander finish.
