anthlovesbeer (61), north grafton, Massachusetts, USA Apr 30, 2008 Beautiful pour, but what stands out is the aroma. A unique balance of the citrus and spices is evident to the nose right from the start. The flavor is first strong with cirtus, almost a lemon-lime, then is soothes with nice blend of spices. Very nice. Great for the Summer.
crazyvin (1043), New York, USA Jul 7, 2008 For a beer that looked good it sure was a let down on everything else. Poured a cloudy yellow hue with orange highlights and a white head. Head faded rather fast, but did have some retention. Aroma was mildly spicy and mildly lemony. Flavor was pretty much the same. The biggest let down was the thin body. A little too soft in my opinion. bonbright7 (155), Huntington, New York, USA Jul 2, 2008 This light Belgian style ale looked interesting in my wide brimmed mug as its swirling white and yellow clouds invited the first taste. The lightness is very apparent as the previously noted lemon and mild spice nuances play hie and seek games in the taste. The crisp finish has a good way of bring one back for more. BeerEssential (73), Massachusetts, USA Jun 29, 2008 On first pour this is a fairly clean yellow beer, however there was a noticeable amount of sediment stuck to the bottom of the bottle which, once flushed out with a swirl of beer, created the typical cloudy witbeer look. Head starts off white and fluffy, but fades to nothing with no lacing. Aroma is is very lemony, like a cough-drop...quite artificial. Taste is very lemony-orange with a bit of a bitter finish. I give it the highest marks for palate, since this is a refreshing summertime brew, but I’ll stick with other, more traditional tasting Belgian Whites. willblake (1913), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Jun 26, 2008 20080626 12oz bottle - it was on the singles rack at RB Spirits. Glowing pale yellow color with small but lasting white head. Aroma is a big kick of lemon, tangerine, dish soap (no, not my dish soap), and tropical notes (coconut, papaya, cocoa butter). Unusual and interesting but also quite artificial in presentation. Flavor carries a good deal of the citrus and tropical notes, with a lingering perfumed finish (crazy with coriander). Not much eff, not at all bitter or dry, this is a sweetish, flavorful, refreshing, odd concoction that I will be glad to have finished. Oh well. joekinty (149), rockledge, Florida, USA Jun 25, 2008 light yellow cloudy pour lots of head very spicey aroma with orange coriander and banana. a little too much spice but would make a nice session beer
