3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (March 2008), sampled at cellar temperature from a Duvel glass. Hazy, unfiltered, almost totally opaque pale gold with a moderate but quick-receding snowy-smooth fine-bubbled head that leaves no trace in the glass....aroma is mostly bready, very lightly spicy (carroway, orangepeel, coriander), a bit musty, with citrus notes growing more prominent....body is quite strongly carbonated, qutie dry, relatively full, rather bready/yeasty throughout, lightly peppery-spicy to finish, faintly mineralic and bitter....not an amazing example of the style, but reasonably authentic and refreshingly dry and tart; seems to border on saison territory at moments. One of LTís better offerings for sure.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is super heavy on the spicing, especially the coriander, with a hefty amount of orange peel as well. Some yeastiness and wheat base malt also. The flavor is predictably heavy on the spice as well. The coriander is so heavy that it comes across as very soapy and chemical tasting. Way too overboard on the coriander, I canít really get past it. Lighter bodied with fizzy and lively carbonation. Not really sure that I can finish even a 12 oz bottle of this one.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sharp lemon grass and mild coriander aromas. Fizzy yellow, nearly clear relative to most wits. Sweet flavor of lemon and less so of banana, and very faint all around. Light, low grav feeling body. Another wit that kills its flavor with its scent.

I was not a fan of this beer. Not sure what the flavor was but felt it lacked enjoyability... Even in the "other" section it has "rotten eggs" listed, yuck.
