JFURYCAT (782), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 17, 2009 Looks like a wheat beer with a dose of blackberries in the flavor (seem like concentrate, similar to leinenkugels). I’ve made this style before and usually pack a lot more ingredients together to avoid having a watery candy flavored beer. I can’t believe the description mentions "lambics." No complexity. Makes Lindemans look stellar. Jblauvs (528), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Oct 8, 2009 Pour is yellow, with a medium white head. Aroma is fruity, some wheat. Flavor is light, some blackberry, but not extreme. Wheat in the flavor is too light, very thing mouthfeel. Overall not bad, but a little light and slightly lacking in most categories. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 4, 2009 Bottle, clear yellow with foam ring, aroma of koolaid with a weak fruity flavor, watery finish rman18 (200), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA Oct 2, 2009 Aroma - Wheat, bit of berry
Appearance - Coors Light like... very light
Flavor - Blackberry wheat. Light beer with a natural flavor of blackberries. Not artificial or sweet
Palate - Light, not much to it
kuphish (150), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Sep 16, 2009 Bottle. Pours a large, frothy, white head. Clear, pale yellow body. Indistinct fruity sweetness in the nose. Flavor is of sweet malt, and faint, miscellaneous berry juice. Light body, prickly carbonation...somewhat thin. Crisp and clean finish. No bitterness. Overall a somewhat boring, but inoffensive beer. Could use some more a more distinct wheat malt presence and a bit more bitterness. EithCubes (2139), Indiana, USA Sep 13, 2009 Bottle. Pale yellow with a large creamy, lacing white head. Nose is sort of reminiscent of nail polish, might be acetone, with light bg berries. Taste is smooth, light wheat and fruitiness. No bitterness, just a strand-of-grain wheat painting. Smooth and light but not watery. Lightly jammy. Extremely inoffensive, though a little too sweet, but man, for a hot day of baseball watching or lawn mowing, this is one hell of a chugging beer. porterhouse (1147), Alna, Maine, USA Sep 8, 2009 (Bottle (stamped "060409") from Lou’s Beverage Barn) Pours clear light yellow with a few fingers of slightly off-white head. Looks much like a pale lager. Aroma of light candy-like sweet berries and some light wheat malt. Mouthfeel is kind of dryish and prickly, slightly wooden. Flavor is sort of sweet and lightly berryish, perhaps along the lines of a fruit-flavored seltzer water. Ehh, it’s pretty bland. HeadieNugget (12), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 25, 2009 alittle too light for me but still very enojoyable to drink.clean taste of a wheat paired w/ a slight blackberry finish which isnt too sweet at all, just a calm taste of the berry.
