COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brew combines 2-Row Pilsen malt, a hint of Crystal malt, and of course, plenty of malted wheat. A hint of blackberry at the finish makes this beer a real thirst quencher! For the health conscious, Blackbeary Wheat has less than 6 grams of carbs and under 125 calories per bottle!

Pours a slightly pale, urine yellow. After 10 minutes the head is literally completely gone, without so much as a trace of fizz on top. Aroma has some perfumey berriness to it that I presume to be blackberries. Flavor has the same berriness to it, not far from that Crystal Light stuff that chicks drink. Hops? What hops? Very watery; flavor hardly lingers at all. "'Lambics' of Belgium" my ass. Quite pathetic. Don't waste your time and money. The worst of Long Trail.

Much like a flavored seltzer but with alcohol. Something of a bad aftertaste. Color is a mild tan, not overly appealing.

Pours a tranparent blonde a la B/M/C. Small white head thats quickly dissipating. Aroma is sweet--as of blackberry I presume. Start has some blackberry hit, middle is sour and non-exhilarating. Im not sure which lambics this is modeled after, but it is a decent balance for a fruit beer. I understand I am sampling it out of season.

I didn't really like this beer too much. Very clear and pale yellow with not much of a nose. The taste was bland and rather flat, so much so that I poured the rest out.

Surprisingly colorless, almost chardonnay-like appearance. Very crisp, doughy malt flavor with sweet blackberries and a hint of hops. Refreshing and fairly tasty.

Light clear yellow with a fizzy head. Thin sweet malts - almost bready - coupled with a nice fruit juicey punch. The blackberry is a nice flavor but kind of plays second fiddle to the malts. Sweet lingering finish.

Transparent pale straw. Quick, fizzy off-white foam. Subdued sourish aroma with hints of must, blackberry cobbler, acidity, and hay. Slightly prickly carbonation. Blackberry flavors are offset by a large pale malt smack. Finishes with a huge amount of pale malts, accompanied by only a smidgen of blackberry. This has potential, but the pale malts dominate, rather than enhance the blackberries. Some Hallertua presence, or any hop presence for that matter, would have sufficed nicely, to counter the pale malts and still let the blackberries do their job. It somehow remains palatable, and a tad better than I anticipated.

Has a clear yellow color with a good bit of carbonation and a fruity smell. Taste is light slighty fruity and finishes kind of weak. Overall not my type.
