Commercial Description:
Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August.

Pours medium dark yellow with a white head. Smells of bubblegum, with a little fruit. The flavor is pretty watery and tastes of a little blackberry and wheat. Pretty bland all around and has an unpleant aftertaste. I cant believe how low the ABV is here. Dissapointing.

Bottle- Slightly hazy yellow pour topped with a fizzy white cap. The nose is grainy and has some pale malts as well as a slight fruity component, which can be attributed to the blackberries, but it is pretty weak. Sweet grainy straw flavour with sugars and pale malts, with only a touch of fruit and slight bitterness. Fizzy, watery, grainy. Below average.

Got a half pint of this and that was probably enough for the rest of my life. The smell was like a berry dish soap. The taste was just not there with no real beer flavor that finsihes heavy with the berry taste. Now that I read that they were going for a lambic like taste it makes more sense but still disappointed. A beer that I might buy for a girl who doesn’t like beer.

This is not a "beer" worth drinking. Pours a faint gold, with a tiny scent. Flavor is watery, and the carbonation gobbles up any semblance of an agreeable flavor. At 3.8% alcohol this brew won’t even get you happy, so I really cannot recommend this.

Smells of sour fruit and yeast, kind of like a lambic. Taste is very watery light berry flavor. Not much else.
