Dawnshighway71 (3), USA does not count Feb 1, 2006 Some may think i’m biased but I tasted this beer two summers ago in the adirondacks on lake champlain. Last summer I picked it up again near the lake and drank it all weekend. I’ve been drinking it since. I don’t like many fruity wheat beers but this one is the best. It can almost be considered a light beer and goes down like champagne with a touch of real blackberry taste left over. Most of the other fruit beers seem artificial, yet you can tell fresh blackberries were used in the making of this one. I highly recomend this to anyone who has had bad luck with other fruit flavored beers. It will change your mind. AJNH21 (2), USA does not count Mar 24, 2005 light golden color
aroma- strong with hints of blackberry’s and hops
taste- good mixture of hops and slight aftertaste of blackberry which leaves your tongue tingling
Little to no head but what head there is is a white and disappears after a couple sips
It seems that Long Trail may have changed the recipe since the release cause i didn’t used to like this beer but not love it. sinkhole (117), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Apr 2, 2008 Updated: Apr 23, 2008Nice berry aromas and pours a clear light gold with a small white head. Smooth sweet taste of berries with subtle wheat lurking in the background. Knocked it a few points for it’s lack of overall alcohol content and being more berry flavour than wheat. Still a very nice beer though. emerica56 (403), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Jul 4, 2007 This beer has a nice hoppy smell with a nice golden color to it. As you drink it there is a smoothy taste almost fruity on the palate. you get the best of both worlds with this beer a fruity and weat beer at the sme time. stangger (77), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 9, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium yellow color. Aroma is not very noticeable, maybe a hint of berry ? Actually tastes pretty good. Thicker than their regular hefeweizen and really crisp, although I don’t taste the blackberry. Underrated.
