Seriously black pour. Immediate aroma of coffee, nuts, and roasted malt. Intense flavor with a lot of nuttiness, coffee, and roasted malt. Excellent beer!

22 oz bottle via trade from backlog notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small tan head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, mild bitterness, some caramel, medium bodied, decent.

On tap at Market Grille: Pours dark brown / black with a thick brown head. Leaves solid lacing on the glass. Aroma is very strong coffee, with a hint of smoke. Taste is very coffee dominant, a little chocolate, and a slightly coffee bitter finish. Full body, smooth finish, average carbonation, fairly sticky. This is a really nice beer, by far the best Long Trail stout that Ive had.

Dark brown, thin beige head, fading quickly. Big coffee on the aroma, a little lactose sweetness, a little smoke. The taste is roasted coffee with slight milky sweetness. Pretty Good.

Bottle from cellar clearing. Pours out of the bottle like its on nitro with a thick brown head and chunky lacing. Nice aroma of sweetened coffee and dark malt. Flavor has some coffee notes like a dry espresso and some malt sweetness. Nice.

Poured from a bottle into a Spiegelau tulip. A: Coffee, cocoa and a slight earthiness in the general aroma, plus some vanilla sweetness hints underneath the roasted malt, with more vanilla, coffee and chocolate notes. A: Pours an opaque pitch black color with one-finger thick, fluffy dark brown head that faded quickly. T: Very stong roasted notes initially, fading to coffee and bread flavors and the alcohol well hidden. P: Medium body that tends to be slightly thin; light to mild carbonation; creamy and smooth texture. O: An excellent coffee stout and certainly worth a try, or two, or three.... Lacks the mouth-feel, IMO to make it WORLD CLASS but certainly drinkable!

But then everything seems sort of light all the way through. Its fine but nothing stands out. Its like a really good decaf, its tasty, but something seems lacking in the end. Still, not a bad beer, and probably a crowd pleaser.

8/5/13 bought at roger wilco ($5.99) and brought and shred with Luke up the poconos. Great aroma with tons of chocolate and espresso. Great mouthful nice creamy taste less coffee on the tongue but tons of chocolate. For the price, I'd buy again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
