Bottle. Pours a deliciously hazy golden brown. Off-white head. Very nice lacing. Strong scent, smells like wine/fruit. Interesting flavor - I was expecting a much more bitter finish that never really came. More malt than you usually can taste in a DIPA, I’d think. Lemon notes too. Definitely do not taste the 8.6% ABV. Pretty good DIPA overall, will definitely drink again.

A very good doube IPA. Rich and robust with plenty of assertive hops and balanced malt. Very citrusy hops. Looks very beautiful in the glass, with a very nice white fluffy head. Well done.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2009 bottle courtesy of zathrus13. hazy apricot color with nice lil suspended particulates. small orange head. apricot and sweet peach nose with some good hops hanging on the end. a very big hop hit is very smooth, and very warm on the way down from the hop concentration. light fruity finish that blends nicely into a hop bomb aftertaste. sweet full creamy body through the entire palate. this would be great for a winter camping trip, very nice!

At last - a great local DIPA!! Pours a nice bright orange and a soft pillow white head. Sweet piney/citrus notes and a nice balance flavor on the palate. It’s wonderful when brewers are able to balance the malt and hops in this style. Beautifully done. And I’m not a natural fan of the style!

Pours very pale but with a nice head that lasts. Not overly hoppy but definately a double; well balanced with the malt and a clean finish.

Poured from the tap into a tasting glass. The color is a bit copper in color, is also a bit orange The smell is fruity with lime nice citrus feel. Hints of grapefruit and some orange peel. The taste is of citrus hops that has a bit of a tangy feel to it. There is also some floral hops that bring about a slight pine feel to this beer that stays in the background under the lemon and orange peel flavor. Some nice malt feel evens out the bitterness and keeps you from being overwhelmed. This beer is a really well balanced beer. It never overpowers you with bitterness and has a nice sutle feel to it. Goes down easy and has a real pleasurable feel.

Pours a murky peach copper color with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is quite piney, and definite resin, but the caramel and sugary malt is certainly evident. Citrus hops are secondary, but still present. Flavor has tons of floral flavor, with pine and citrus sneaking in as well. Finish is impressively dry, and the hop character sticks through and through; certainly doesn’t strike me as too sweet. Very nice DIPA overall.

Hazy amber with two finger white froth. Aroma is pungently citrus with loads of citrus, hop resin, and evergreen. Quite powerful and defined. Flavor is flowery with bits of citrus and pine peppered in. Sweet malt is quite pronounced creating an expert balance against the the hop attack. Palate is smooth, sweet, sticky, resinous, and very dry. I was quite surprised by this specimen, for is titillated my taste buds to the max.
