22oz. split with one of my buddies. Pour is lighter gold/amber with a white lacy head. Aromas of piney hops, resin, sweet malts, citrus, and slight alcohol. Flavor is pretty damn good. Citrus, resin, and hoppy goodness throughout. The 8.6 abv is not present at all, very drinkable. Another awesome brew from Long Trail in the Brewmaster series. For $2.99 this one is a steal.

Bottle. Pale amber gold beer with a thin white head. The aroma is lovely. Rich bright tropical citrus aroma. Light sweet honeyish aroma. A bit of light tropical mango and pineapple. It is very bright and fresh smelling. Flavour is soft and fruity. Fairly creamy texture with a rich fruity hoppiness. Moderate bitterness. Lovely and hoppy with a light moderate bitterness. Lovely beer.

Good sized bright white head of very fine bubbles. Hazy golden orange in color. Big succulent hops aroma. Lots of citrus, oranges, pineapple and flowers. Moderate hops bitterness in the flavor. Very succulent and makes the mouth water. Light dryness with more pineapple and citrus. Very easy drinking, hides its alcohol very well and leaves a clean feel in the mouth. Just a bit of light heat late swallow. Light malts to help balance the bit hop profile. Finishes bitter and dry with a lingering bit of fruityness. Overall a very good IIPA and one that I would highly recommend. Just be careful as this one may sneak up on you.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with some sediment and a thick, fluffy white head that leaves pretty lacing on the glass. Aroma of resiny hops at first then tons of tropical fruits and citrus. Wow, this smells really good! Flavor of lots of citrus, some melon, and a nice hoppy finish. This is a super tasty IPA. Reminds me of the Flossmoor Station IPAs in terms of flavor/aroma profile. At $3.50 a bomber, this is a steal! 9/4/8/4/16 (4.1/5)

Smells pungently of sour hops, very sharp scent. Pours a dark-ish golden amber color with a nice thick yellow hued head. Taste is lots of hops with just the right amount of malts to balance it. Very fruity, citrusy sourness with a nice warming feel from the alcohol, which is hidden well. Very nice double IPA.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2009 bottle poured a light golden in color with a thick dollop of white head that floated about for a while. aroma has bright citrus hops, candy sweetness, and a nice perfume of bitterness and alcohol. mouth feel coats well with medium carbonation. flavor has a nice resiny bite, pine, citrus, and just enough sweet malt to keep it all together. the first long trail beer that has given me some wow. after drinking there beer for over 10 years it is nice to finally see these guys get to brew this level of beers.

Hey, that’s a nice-looking beer! - hazy glowing orange, with a thick, soapy, lasting head - resinous hop aroma, herbs, a light minty character, orange and lime - low carbonation, full in the mouth - strong hop bitterness on either end - semi-sweet honey and citrus fruits through the middle - some pineapple, mango, kaffir lime leaves - lingering grapefruit and earthy hop goodness - another great beer in this series.

Sampled it at the Whole Foods on Bowery in NYC. Really, really good beer. Nice copper color and a fine white head. Strong hoppy aroma. Strong hoppy taste, dry and mildly bitter. Delicious.
