3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours cinnamon with a thin white head without leaving much lacing. The aroma is quite flavorful full of spice. The taste has decent complexity. It’s very spicy on the nose but the finish and the palate leave just a little bit to be desired. I see this appears to be a brand new beer. I’ve had a ton of pumpkins and I would say that this most closely resembles River Horse’s. Pretty good overall.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Capone’s. The pour was burnt sienna orangy, more toward brown, with minimal head. Nose was intense pumpkin puree and spices. Tasted rich, on the sweet side, with a big pumpkin flavor matched with not overwhelming spiciness and true graham cracker flavor in the aftertaste. This was world class.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2012 Pours golden. The lacing sticks around but does ever so sink. Smells and tastes of rye bread, nutmeg, allspice and bread yeast. Alright.

S - Heavy very dominant pumpkin scent up front. Not very sweet scent though. Some spices.
T - More glorious pumpkin. Very tasty. American bitter hops. some piney notes, lots of creamy sort of spicy vanilla pumpkin puree sort of taste. Some nutmeg
M - 40% carbonation. Medium body.
O - Surprisingly good for pumpkin beers. Enjoyable and solid.
