Pretty decent pumpkin seasonal. 22oz bottle from the Collegeville Wegman’s. The beer pours a dark ruby orange color. Even though the beer doesn’t offer much of a head, it does leave some nice, cascading lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose features some pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, light yeast and cloves. Most of those qualities show in the body of flavors, as well. I also taste a little ginger, very light rye bread and toasted malt. This offering is a tad light on pumpkin flavor, but for $6 a bomber, it is worth a taste.

Moderate pumpkin with a light spice and malt later in the aroma. Cloudy orange color with a medium white head. Sweet and pumpkin beginning with a light bitter finish. Nice mellower pumpkin beer.

22oz. bottle: This one pours a clear, orangish-amber color. There was almost no head on it, and no lacing. The aroma is decent, and expected. Pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg are the dominant ones. Not overdone, but they mask anything else. The taste is pretty good. Nicely balanced between the hops and malts. A touch of pumpkin, the pumpkin pie spices, and a hint of bitterness. A nice fall beer!

Medium bodied dark amber Pumpkin Ale with plenty o’ pumpkin aroma and body. Spices are part of the make-up, however, not overbearing. When I read it was an English Strong Ale style it all made sense. Bitterness is evident but not the center of attention. Well done offering from Long Trail. I have been impressed with the Brewmaster Series and at only $5 a bomber a welcome bargain.

Reddish brown maple syrup color with a bit of oof-white head. Aroma and taste are tuned down imperial pumpkin, but still pretty textbook. $5.5/22
