Medium bodied dark amber Pumpkin Ale with plenty o’ pumpkin aroma and body. Spices are part of the make-up, however, not overbearing. When I read it was an English Strong Ale style it all made sense. Bitterness is evident but not the center of attention. Well done offering from Long Trail. I have been impressed with the Brewmaster Series and at only $5 a bomber a welcome bargain.

Draft at Eulogy. Clear red brown with a foamy white head. Aroma is of sweet pumpkin, but first taste brought some unexpected bitterness. Pumpkin spice. Additional red fruits from the malt but quite a lot of bitter finish from the hops. Dark syrupy notes. Gentle dark sugar pumpkin with a big hop punch. Mixed feelings. Well blended, but not really to my taste.

Reddish brown maple syrup color with a bit of oof-white head. Aroma and taste are tuned down imperial pumpkin, but still pretty textbook. $5.5/22

Bottle with Pedro. Pours a clean dark amber with fluffy beige head and lacing. Aroma is pumpkin spice - cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and some pumpkin. Taste is pumpkin, cloves, nutmeg, with a sweet banana finish and a little bitterness.

22 oz bottle. Pours orange/amber with a one finger off white head that settles down to a thin ring. Aroma is light spices, mostly nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor is semi sweet. A little light pumpkin flavor with the aforementioned spices. It is a bit boozy at 8%. Medium bodied with a nice smooth mouthfeel. Nice job.

Bottled June 28, 2013.
Appearance: The body is hazy with a garnet to mahogany hue with a towering tan head that has great retention, settling into a full coating.
Aroma: Cinnamon and graham cracker are prominent with hints of vanilla, clove and ginger. The aroma leans sweet and enticing.
Taste: Sweet caramel is throughout, from start to finish with pumpkin pie flavors. The spices are really subdued, cinnamon and ginger is most notable with cloves lingering on the finish. This is a nice pumpkin beer.
Palate: Soft creamy body.
Overall: This is actually really solid. I love the sweetness that’s balanced nicely by the spices. As far as pumpkin beer is concerned, this is a good one.

Bottle via SL.. Dark red in color.... not much head. Nose of some spices...Malty, bready. Taste is more of a winter warmer of harvest ale. Light spices, malty, bready, good but where is the pumpkin? Body is medium, low carbonation. Easy to drink. Overall... not really a pumpkin but a nice brew...

THOUGHTS: Rather nice. Very nice for the price, too. Very smooth and easy to drink. Definitely a ramped up version of their regular pumpkin ale. Hid alcohol nicely. Not the best pumpkin beer, but a nice beer in general. It did get a little sweet toward the end and slightly cloying. Not just a pumpkin beer — it’s a real beer, too. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a kind of murky, dark, orangey red that was just about brown in the glass with nice carbonation and an average to large, creamy, off-white head that mostly diminished, but left excellent lacing. The aroma contained moderate grain and cereal; light caramel; hints of cocoa; light citrus hops; slight pine hops; brown sugar, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lighty acidic; while the finish was moderately sweet, lightly acidic and lightly bitter. There was caramel, grain, brown sugar, pumpkin, cereal, citrus hops, light pumpkin pie spices, hints of cocoa, more spices as it warmed, and some milk chocolate. The medium to full body was fairly creamy with tingly carbonation and a slightly alcoholic finish.
