Draft at Capone’s. The pour was burnt sienna orangy, more toward brown, with minimal head. Nose was intense pumpkin puree and spices. Tasted rich, on the sweet side, with a big pumpkin flavor matched with not overwhelming spiciness and true graham cracker flavor in the aftertaste. This was world class.

Bottle. Dark orange-amber pour with a medium, frothy tan head. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, pumpkin pie and roasted pumpkin. Hints of brown sugar as well. Taste is cinnamon and nutmeg up front with strong pumpkin pie notes, brown sugar, clove, other spices and burnt pie crust. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more strong spice up front (mainly cinnamon and clove), pumpkin pie, candied pumpkin and brown sugar.

The aroma is pumpkin pie spices, brown sugar, light booze, pumpkin. The appearance is relatively clear deep amber, off-white head. The flavor is like the aroma, pie spices, caramel, pumpkin. Boozy. The finish is light booze, pine, spices. Medium/thick in body, creamy mouthfeel. The booze comes through too much, especially considering it’s only 8%. Still, pretty enjoyable overall.

2013-01-13. Hazy dark orange with a nice beige head. 3+ Aroma is spicy, fruity, and lightly tangy. Flavour is similar, moderate spices up front, fruity pumpkin, very light alcohol, modest bitterness. Smooth average pls to medium bodied palate. 3++ Pretty decent, I’d personally like the malt to be a touch more robust to support the pumpkin and spice more, but it is nice as is. From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. This has been renamed the "Brush & Barrel Series" rather than the "Brewmaster Series." The pour is medium amber with an orange glow and even a slight reddish hue up to the light. The head is bountiful. The aroma has a great pumpkin note along with sweet malts, a little wheat, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Hops are played down. The body is bold. Here come the hops! The taste begins with a sweet and pumpkin flavor but then the hops pull out of the background and leave a moderate lingering bitterness.

Bottle. Pours hazy, dark amber with creamy, off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, cereal malts, floral notes, figs, and dates. Flavor starts sweet and malty but surprisingly has some strong hop bitterness on the back end; dry finish with some light spices. Medium body and carbonation.

From a bottle. Pours hazy medium reddish brown with a thin fizzy head. Tastes like pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg, slightly sour. Not too spiced and not very sweet. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells like squash vegetables, spices, and alcohol.
