On tap at the Long Trail event at the Golden Rail. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, with hints of candied banana. Thin to medium bodied, more banana notes coming through. Little bit of alcohol, and more of that banana yeast flavor. Seems like it needs some acid to balance it out.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells of coriander, some ginger, sweet wheat. Tastes citrussy and spicy with a sweet finish.

Bottle:   Straw in color, pale golden hue, thin white frothy head, dies quickly, sparce lacing.   Spicy nose, corriander, orange zest, and a lot of dried fruit, the dehydrated kind.   There is some sweet prune too!   Very flavorful on the tongue.   Loads of dehydrated fruit, mainly prune and apricot.   Very interesting and different for a strong Witbier.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   This one is more fruity than being a witbier, but that’s okay.   A very interesting take on the style.

Bottle. Light golden orange with a white head. Citric aroma, oranges and lemons, with a light sweetness. The flavor has a light sweetness, with oranges and coriander, and a nice dry finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks David Cohen. Slightly hazy golden. Floral spicy aroma, a bit soapy, with oranges, mint, coriander, ginger and wheat. Minty flavor with yeast, grains, citrus (lemon and orange), spices and alcohol. Medium-bodied. Reminds me of Christmas and Halloween beers. Not my thing.

Blind Tasting. Soapy, lemon, coriander. Sort of like a exfoliating soap you steal from nice hotels. Floral perfuminess, citrusy lemony notes. White wine like spritz. Overloaded on coriander, lemon peel. some booziness. Just becauce you dbl’d the ABV you dont need to double the spice

In short: A big bready spicy dry witbier. Interesting.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh a few weeks after purchase
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a very small white head
In long: The light nose is a bit spicy with notes of coriander, ginger. Taste is bready, a bit doughy, some mouth drying minerals/salty notes, light lemony twist, a lot of jelly beans, dried light colour fruits, spicy orange, dry grass. The weakest of the Long Trail Brewmaster Series so far. Nothing special here, move along people, read other ratings, move along, I said move along, nothing interesting here, plenty of other beer ratings to read, move along. I said MOVE ALONG.

(Rating #3040)

Nose is nice and juicy, orange, lemon, corriander, lavender. Golden yellow orange pour. Floral perfumey upfront, wheaty, orange, coconut, lavender. Fruity and wheaty, somewhat sweet. Dry lingering finish.
