4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Never have I had a witbier quite this perfect. Smooth, yet complex. Citrusy, yet not acidic. Sweet, but not cloying. This witbier is refreshing and well-balanced with hints of lemon, malt, and very light hops. Enjoy this in moderation, as it is very unnoticeably strong.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Blue Dog in Chalfont, PA. Slightly hazy golden pour with thin white film head. Aroma was mild citrus and yeast. Flavor was basic citrus, spice and yeast. Thin body and sweeter than most whites. I was a bit disappointed in this one, I expected more from Long Trail here.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
22oz bottle. Pours a deeper orange/white hue, decent depth. Aromas are sweet and malty, some bready, citrus is fairly obvious. Palate is way too cloying, sweetness through the mid dulls any kind of citrus acidity that this would have given off. It’s a bit one sided the abv is prevelent, some oxidation settling in.

Cloudy golden yellow colour with nice white lacing. Aroma can be described in one word "yeasty". I really liked this one! Nice mild lemon flavour up front, followed by a bready, nutty aftertaste. very clean, very nice.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2009 Very interesting, unique beer, but not something I especially loved. Still, I can appreciate what they were going for, and I think they did a great job with it. The aroma was a strong lemon scent. Tiny little bubbles on the tongue. The taste was very very very strong licorice corriander, fennel, anise. I would have actually called this an "indian" beer because of those flavor profiles. The appearance was great. Looked just like an orange julius...a bit cloudy, but in a good way, with a nice white, creamsicle-type of head.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is fruity with a hint of sweetness. Color is light to golden yellow with almost no head.Flavor is of orange similar to Blue Moon but with a sweetness. Just the right amount of corriander and not overwhelming. Has a nice yeasty flavor as well, similar to what you might expect from a traditional belgian wit-beer. Not much alcohol flavor despite being 7.2%. A really great beer, I will deff check out other brewmaster editions from Long Trail
