COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Brown Bag Series Berliner Weisse is a tart, fruity, highly effervescent and refreshing ale. Relatively low in alcohol at only 3.4% this highly sessionable brew has a light body and a very dry finish. A regional specialty of Berlin, it was referred to by Napoleon’s troops in 1809 as "the Champagne of the north" due to its lively and elegant character. Described by some as the most purely refreshing beer in the world, only two traditional breweries still produce this style.

On draught at the North Fork Craft Beer Festival at Peconic Bay Vineyard. Pours a lightly hazed straw color with a thin white head. Pleasant aroma of lemon that is tart and lightly sweet. The flavor is similar with lemon, more tart than sweet but elements of both. Bright finish with very mild bitterness.

Light lemon wheatgrass aroma. Flavor is slight lemon wheatgrass with a nice tart finish. Very enjoyable Berliner. Palate is slight watery but not bad. Well done by long trail. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Long trail, coming out with a Berliner! Pours a hazy straw yellow with a white head. Aromas of sour lactic acid and biscuit. Taste is mostly sour with an earthy finish. Maybe a tad on the sour side.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a pale yellow color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tart, citric and lactic with a bit of bread dough. The flavor was dry, tart and lactic with noes of lemon, bread dough and salt. Medium length finish that turns a bit dry. Medium body. Pleasant.

The highlight so far this year. Nice big glass at bocktown. Mild tart soda smell. Looks fairly light and clear.. From the start this stuff is just great. This just reinforces the thought that I like BW but its hard to come by. There is even a slight hint of real lambic in this stuff, nifty. Easy going fun fer sure. Refreshing, lovely, no real good beer experience. Great stuff, well done.

Light refreshing and slightly tart. A little watery but still an excellent beer. The finish is clean and lightly crisp.
