This one poured a darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was light grains, and fresh fruity hops. Flavor was nice clean citrusy grapefruit hops with very light and clean malts. Definitely a surprising offering from long trial.

Always been a fan of Long Trail so when I saw this on tap I had to give it a try. Poured nice, looked great. but it’s all about taste. This was a nice balanced IPA. No over the top hops, no stinging after taste. Just a good solid beer.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours clear gold, with clingy white head. Nose is rich fruity hops, with pineapple, tangerine, mango, fresh cracked white pepper. Tastes of juicy fruits, predominantly mango, pineapple, tangerine, white pepper, resiny hops, a nice pale malty balance, big complexity, and a taste that pops off the tongue. This one is delicious, and the best beer Long Trail has ever made by far, in my opinion.

Draft at Coles. Light copper pour. little head. resiny, spruce, floral bitterness. Sort of soapy flavor. Decent bitterness but a little mangled. Much better than the everyday IPA but needs a little teaking

Draft at Surf Taco. Poured a clear deep gold body with an a stage sized frothy bright white head. Aroma is grains and light hop notes, some pine and earth along with a touch of citrus. Medium bodied that finishes bitter and dry but the carbonation is a bit stingy. Flavor is much like the aroma with fresh grains upfront followed by dry hop cones and a touch of citrus rind.

boxofrane (1173) - pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Draft at Liberty Bar and Grille. Pours clear copper with a medium white head, medium carbonation. The aroma is very floral, medium grapefruit, some orange and pear. Taste is medium bitter, grapefruit sweetness, nice balance.
