COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark chocolate Porter is a very rich, roasty beer with top notes of chocolate derived from freshly roasted cacao. Strong but relatively smooth on the palate, itís malty sweetness is evenly balanced with bitterness, and a slight dryness from the alcoholic strength. Look for solid notes of coffee, licorice, mild chocolate and more subtle hints of fruit and spices.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle. Opaque, black-brown with a 2-finger tan head and very good lacing. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malt, vanilla, high quality chocolate and light mocha. Taste of quality chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, caramel, mocha and a touch of earthy herbal hops. Medium body and medium/high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle. Pitch black color with a thin ring of white head. Aroma is sweet and decadent. Roasted malt, cacao nibs, burnt sugar and maybe a touch of anise.

Flavor is a mirror image of the aroma. Hints of vanilla with a light bittering hop in the finish. The body is full for a porter with a creamy texture. Iím sure this is a beast on draft because the porter in my glass is quite nice.

An attractively packaged brew - the label looks like a book cover. There is a dark pour topped with a nice layer of tan foam. Culmination is full-flavored, and is robust without being difficult. There is plenty of mocha taste, with some fruity highlights and nice shadings of prunes and yeast. There is a bright aroma of coffee and compote, and the finish leaves a little yeasty tingle. I liked this one a lot.

22 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with some lighter, reddish highlights with a one finger tan head which leaves the scene quickly leaving no lace. Roasted malt and cocoa bean aroma. Flavor is sweet, but not to sweet. Lots of dark chocolate and light coffee with cream. Hint of vanilla bean. Noticeable alcohol. Body isnít as heavy as you might expect. Medium bodied with a surprising crispness. Very nice.
