3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
On vacation in Vermont, picked up a few six packs of local brews with Double Bag among them. Pours a slightly cloudy amber, head dissipates quickly, no lacing on the glass. A fruity, malty and inviting aroma, tempting one to take a sip. Toasty, caramel, enough bitterness to balance it out resulting in a malty-yet-crisp brew. Tastes lighter than it really is.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650ml bottle. Picked this local beer up while passing through Vermont. Pour yields good lacing, and a beer that has copper/caramel and amber hues. Persistent carbonation keeps thin ring around glass and offers up constant aromas of dried fruit, roasted nuts and melted brown sugar. On the palate, the malt shows through. Subtle sweetness gives way to slight bitterness. Initially a little boozy, but that too is easy to forgive given the 7.2%abv. Overall, a fine effort. Hope to try more from long Trail
