16 ounce sample on tap at a shitty bar in Burlington (Windjammer). Very faint aroma that is lightly toasted and metallic. Not too much else happening here in the nose. Transparent amber body with a creamy, off-white/cream head present. Good lacing. Starts thin, with light metallic hints. Becomes very watery and flavorless in the middle. Finishes with light sweetness and toasted malts. The flavor improves as this warms, but it’s still very mild and devoid of flavor.

Draft from Growler - For anyone that buys this beer, wherever it is served, thanks(!) for supporting Long Trail’s efforts to speed Vermont’s recovery from the devastation of Hurricane Irene. The help is sorely needed... Pours a very pretty clear ruby-brown in color with little head and almost no carbonation. Aroma is mildly roasty/malty with just a hint of floral hops. Taste is not that strong, but the malt is clearly the base of the flavor profile and the hops are mostly an afterthought. Medium palate. Lingering mild bitterness. I could not find the ABV anywhere, but it cannot be that much. This is a *very* easy drinking beer and would be a great addition at a session where we can all share stories about how high the water got in your community during Vermont’s Great Flood of 2011... Cheers!
