3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle from Lacey Spirits. Poured a light brown color with a small foamy tan head. Aroma of light coffee, nuts, toasted malts, and hints of sweet pancake syrup. Taste mimics the nose with a little more roastiness, and more maple in the finish. Really liked this one.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Drank from the bottle. Aroma is composed of nuts, hay, grass, and corn. Taste is yeast and nuts with a little bit of caramel thrown into the mix. Medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a sticky mouth feel. Okay beer, nothing special.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a cola brown with a fizzy head that dies down quickly and ruby highlights. Aromas are autumn leaves with a bit of nut and an edge of cola. Flavor is very nice for a light beer... lots of autumn leaves and nuts with a bit of toffee and a hint of watery spiciness. This is a very nice beer for the style and ABV combination.

A solid brown ale, not like Belle's Best, but actually pretty comparable. A solid brew on a cold fall day

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
DATE TASTED: September 2, 2014... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint...OCCASION: O’s bust open a 10-3 lead in Game One of the ALDS... APPEARANCE: intimidatingly dark mahogany body; swiftly descending off-white head; flat, inconsistent up top... AROMA: thick, intense, sweet syrupy punch that encompasses a beautifully smoky embrace; hickory also mates with flattened hops to approximate a brown ale/porter mash-up ... PALATE: weighty, rather flat cola mouthfeel; teeth must withstand some energy, but the warmth sits idly on the tongue--heavy.....TASTE: sweet and malty with the syrup and smoke mitigating a rather uneventful flavor; a bit of biscuit late, but not what the aroma promises... OVERALL: Autumnal, yes--but the allure of its scent doesn’t measure up when sipped; lo alcohol content makes it sessionable....
