12oz bottle. I tend to think that this is one of the most under rated fall seasonals. Pour is a nice darker amber hue, white head, good carbonation. Aromas indicate some sweetness, nutty, toffee, the maple is dulled. Palate is a tad on the sweeter side, not cloying, but as far as autumn beers go very refreshing for the chilly weather.

Deep amber color. No head, little bubbling. Sweet aroma like cherry candy. Tastes like an amber cherry beer. Pass.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s in State College, PA. Pours a clear brown-amber colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is medium sweet with some, caramel, toffee bread, a touch of toast, and some chewy nuts. Flavor is similar. Medium sweet caramel, toast, nuts, and a bit of toffee before a very light roast and some grains come in to help dry this with a light bitterness. Medium length aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, an easy drinking amber/brown ale. Some decent malt sweetness with a touch of roast and toast. Pretty simple all-around, but not bad.

Pours brown with white head. Aroma is caramel, cereal and some toastyness. Taste is sweet. Thin mouthfeel and easy to drink. Overall this seemed very unfinished, rough around the edges.

Dark maple syrup color. No head at all. Aroma is faint with only maple syrup that stands out the most. Medium taste with a plain watery finish. Doesn’t have enough body. Weak.

No head... Aroma is toasty nut. Tasted is medium sweet. Slight cherry, metallic, dry finish. Decent beer, but nothing special.

Nate (3093) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2011
Dull bitter hop aroma, with roasted malt and carbonic acidity. Light metallic notes and some oxidation aromas. Dark copper amber, almost mahoghany in color. Clear, with foamy-sudsy lacing head. Medium to light watery body with medium carbonation. Starts fairly dry, with roasted malt and light sweetness. Mild acidity and weak nutty character. Mild bitter hops at the finish, with clean but slightly watery after. Overall, not extremely flavorful.

One of the more enjoyable late summer seasonals that i have had. Smooth and sweet with a tiny bit of spice and smoke to warm you up but nothing overpowering.

Chocolate, roasted, dark aroma. Pours a dark brown with no head. Sweet, red licorice flavor with a smooth but weak finish. Not much to this beer.

Bottle. Pours brown, clear, 1" of off-white head. Smells sweet with deep, roasted malts. Tastes similar: sweet roasted malts with a hint of grass.
