3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 20, 2015 From 12oz bottle (variety pack)
Aroma: loads of citrus hops, grapefruit
Appearance: Golden, hazy, white head
Taste: Medium Bitter
Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation, long bitter and dry finish
Overall: Iím really surprised by this beer. Itís much better than I remember. Loads of "C" hops. Nice cirtus and grapefruit without overbearing grapefruitiness which I dislike. Nice body. Nice balance between hops and malt with a lot of hop forward aroma and taste. Stands up great as a Vermont IPA. Not overkill, but very nice and well balanced IPA with loads of American hops and a nice and easy to drink body.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Milkboy. Hazy orange gold pour with a modest amount of off-white foam that left quite a bit of lace. Big grassy floral citrus hops. Bittersweet orange zest and pith. Fresh oak planks. Dandelions. Honey tangerines. Resin. Thyme. Minor biscuit and bready wheat notes. Mostly a full frontal orange spice assault. Good.

Itís okay. Nothing really crazy here. Pretty normal English Style IPA. Lots of grass and maltiness in the aroma. Theres a little bit of hoppiness but not a ton. Taste is alright. Pretty traditional as far as IPA goes. Thers a little bit of a lemon taste in this one. Overall itís not bad, just kind of middle of the road. Iím not a huge fan of the english style IPAís but I always give them a fair chance.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Drank from the bottle. Aroma consists of grass, citrus, and floral notes. Taste is citrus, hay, malt, and yeast. Comes across as an English IPA. The focus is more on the malts then the hops. Medium bitter beer with a smooth mouth feel moderate carbonation and a medium body. It is okay, nothing spectacular.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery: Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly floral, slight pine. Taste is more of the same, but is well balanced with the sweetness of the malt and the slight hop bitterness. This is a non-IPA drinkers IPA and is a pretty solid one. I like it better than the base Harpoon IPA. Light to medium body, decent beer!

Bottle. Bright hay color, but virtually opaque. Thin but sticky top. The aroma is subtle and just hints at some fresh mown flowers. The beer is pretty tart, not unlike lemonade, with a bubbly, champagne-like consistency. Quite tart. (#5815, 10/13/2014)

12oz bottle pours a hazy golden/orange with a medium white head. Sweet malt aroma with some bug spray. Mild taste, light hop with caramel malt. Not offensive, forgettable but drinkable.

Pours a clearish gold, thin white head. Aroma is wheat, hay, grass hop, grapefruit peel, pine, piss. Flavor is light sweet > mild fruity bitter, rather dry for an IPA. Med mouthfeel & carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Part of their mixed pack on my trip to Maine. Pours a slight hazy golden colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and foamy lace. Hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit and pine. Fruity taste with the citrus and mild bitterness creating some light dryness in the finish. A nice middle of the range IPA with a micro-feel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at The White Horse (oldest tavern in America, Est. 1673). The beer was actually labeled as their house beer 1673. Clear amber pour with a white head. Floral hop bouquet. Floral and mineral hop notes with a sturdy malt backbone. Average body and mouthfeel. Good balance. A solid session IPA.
